fight over the computer w/ your teenaged kids or is this just happening to me?

It's a pain I know all too well, Tracie. I stopped fighting with them, a long time ago. I just give them chores to do when I want to get on...heh heh heh!!

You have to make your position very clear to your teenage kids, or they will rule you. You are the ADULT, they are the CHILDREN. Establish that thought with them, and you don't have to fight over the computer. Set the boundaries. They can have the computer for x hours daily,and you can have the computer for as long as you need. No questions, no arguments, that's it. Believe me it works.

I am the teenage kid, and yes, I fight with my mom. (but I am not a kid)

i dont have any kids... and i have my own laptop so me and my mom don't need to fight over the computer.

Not really. I have two laptops networked to my main system and they know that when I am home, I am on the main system, and they get one of the laptops.
Now, if you want to mention my wife, that is a different story. . .

All the time- they will never let me on it. And when they do it's for like 15 minutes and then they kick me off of it. I have grounded them off of it and threatened to take it away, nothing works.
