I admit it - okay? I am not smart enough to know if this problem is "liberal" or "conservative." If it is conservative - more shame on them.

We now have over 1.75 million people in immediate danger of losing their homes. Why? Because they took a deal (or deals) too good to be true in terms of mortgages and payback scenarios. God help them! Oops. Apparently the American tax payer (if certain congress people have their way) are going to bail them out with YOUR money and MINE!

I don't care if they say they are liberal or conservative. I want them to pay their own way out of their mess WITHOUT using tax dollars.

So many respondents, so many opinions. If I'd asked the question Senator Kennedy, I'd have avoided using the generalization word "most." You see, the trouble now is, you've qualified it to a degree without offering up any substantial proof. Just like a true democrat.
Now me, I live in the panhandle of Florida. A few years ago we were slammed with a number of hurricanes. Ivan did a lot of damage and put us out of work for a little over a month we had to wait to get the lights turned back on. The first thing I/we did, after the storm had passed was to break out the chainsaws and begin clearing the road. As soon as the cell was on line I called the creditor holding my mortgage to explain my situation. They guy couldn't have cared less. It took me a year and a half to get caught up again. What about those over in New Orleans? Y'all call them "Katrina Victims." The only thing making them a victim is their own damned stupidity and laziness. They're all democrats and expected the local government, then the state and finally the federal government to bail them out. When the first two failed, they blamed the third (the federal) and then, re-elected the two that failed them first! Tell me, did you see any chainsaws working over there? Or did you see them all whining about what he government (federal) hadn't done yet. How many plasma screen TVs did you see getting stolen here VS there? Entitlement. And how many fraudulent FEMA claims have we seen? Blame it on the feds, but it was the people who filed the claims and took the money that you should be blaming. And THEN! Then they had the audacity to accuse us of racism when we told them we didn't want our tax dollars going to rebuild a city that's 9 feet below sea level... Go figure. Entitlement.
So Mr. Kennedy, how was that date with Maryjo? Did you get any before you left her in the drink?

Actually, I'm a liberal, and I DON'T live outside my means. The debts I have incurred are mainly student loans, which I am now paying with the money I earn working TWO jobs. I don't use credit cards at all, because I really don't like them.

Wrong. I have NO debt. Own 2 homes and a small farm. Have worked hard and invested well. My parents taught me the value of a dollar, not the government or some political party.

They have no sense of what makes America great. Free enterprise, capitalism, hard work, a strong military, a Godly heritage, family values. When people do not respect these things, and have a seething jealousy for those who have decided to find happiness, they start looking for a way to justify their failures. So lets all blame the government, the rich, the Christians, anyone but ourselves.

Because the Democrat Party. Wants everything to flow from Washington. Not from the people that make it strong.

I love the liberals who over-spend on things like going out to eat or using their cell phones non-stop, or taking their kids to Chuck E Cheese instead of having at-home birthday parties like the conservative middle class (like me). Then, when they don't have money for utilities or rent, they say the government has taken all their money in taxes. Liberals do not want to go the extra mile to budget money and make it go towards necessities first. They are rebellious in every aspect of their lives, finances included. They hate the conservatives who have money and nice things, but often times that very conservative has worked hard and has saved for those nice things instead of using money foolishly. Liberals claim the government is at fault for the minimum wage job they are working, as if someone is FORCING them to not better themselves. If they weren't such an amusing lot, we'd have to say they were down-right annoying.

I don't believe that most are (and I am conservative). But, if they are, it's because liberals don't believe in taking responsibility for themselves. They never really leave the house, they just substitute the government (and all of productive America) for mommy and daddy.

Someone posted earlier " What has Bush done for you?" this is what they believe in! I depend on the government for nothing! I make it on my own.
