The critical thing is to keep the tissue moist and undamaged until you can hopefully have him seen by a vet. Prolapses can either be part of the the cloacae/intestine or in a male part of the hemipenes. An old farming trick is to soak the tissue in a super saturated sugar and water solution which gently draws enough moisture out to sometimes allow it to naturally retract. You can keep the tissue moist with a bit of vaseline or even cooking oil, plain water will cause further swelling of the tissue. Remove the substrate to keep it from sticking to and damaging the tissue.

Good answer Thea.
Needing home remedies is a sign you don't have the money for such an animal. And I can tell you haven't done research you should have before hand.
It's a prolapse. And if this is a male, it could be a hemipene...or it could be the intestine due to impaction or dehydration, in which case IT'S LIFE THREATENING.
But you don't have the experience for people to be giving you home remedies or you will probably kill it yourself. Get it to a vet. That's what they are paid to do. You don't even have the experience to have an idea of what this is....SO YOU SHOULDN'T BE PLAYING DOCTOR AND GETTING YOUR TRAINING ONLINE!
Just keep it clean with filtered water or saline, moist with constant saline or mineral oil, covered if possible, soak in heavy sugar water and repeat...UNTIL YOU GET TO A VET! Even if the prolapse seems corrected. An intestine can be perforated microscopically leading to infection and death.
Only a vet or sufficiently experienced keeper should attempt to put tissue back into the cloaca.

Call a vet, explain the situation and see what can be worked out, if that fails call your local animal shelter, you will have to sign it over but they can give it the treatment it needs. You should also check to see if any reptile rescues are in your area
Either way dont wait till monday, do it ASAP

You need to at the very least call your vet and see what they say, we here on Yahoo answers cannot see what you are talking about, nor would most anybody know what to do about it. Call the vet and talk to them, if they feel it is an emergency they will most likely be able to work with you on payments and such. You need to call the vet asap though befre anything worse happens!!

don't tell me that you bought an exotic animal, and, have not ebough money to take it to the vet to discover whats wrong with it? that it irresponsible, but I suppose i understand, you probably had the money when you got it but times changed, thats ok, so, what I would do is go to the store, or a reptile store, and ask the person behind the counter to look at it and tell you if he knows what It is. If he can't identify it, or if he says take it to a vet, you better get that animal to a vet, dig up some cash!

i might want to say take him to the vet asap. deliver a pair of tweezers or something in basic terms incase he starts to choke it again up. you are able to in basic terms accomplish that a lot from homestead, and also you may easily be mad at your self in case you dont finally end up going and something is going incorrect. save him prematurely contained in the automobile or close to you so that you'll save an eye fixed on him. Goodluck!
