Stanford is one of the toughest schools to get into in the world. It is tougher than most, if not all, of the Ivy League schools.
UCLA is a great state university. Of the schools in California, only Stanford, Berkeley and Cal Tech are tougher to get into.

stanford, but they are both good schools and both hard to get into, incoming freshmen average GPA over 4.0+ on a 4.0 scale,33 ACT, and 2150 on the SAT
