my best guy friend shaved all the hair on his head off for cancer research. Now he looks like an alien. There are some guys that wouldnt look bad with a shaved head but he is not one of them. Now people tease him soo much. i know this is kinda shallow but i get imbarassed with him. i mean after every other second someone comes up to us and slaps his head or calles him rude names and its getting really annoying. I know i would be a real b-itch if i ignore him. what should i do?

You are not a very good friend...you are supposed to love and accept your friends for who they are...not for what they look like..besides it's for cancer research which is very noble of him...you are shallow!!! and it's EMBARRASSED!!!

Be a good friend and be honest with him. Tell him that you dont like it when people call him names and tell him that sometimes you feel embarassed. If he is a good guy he will understand you. Saying in a way that you wont hurt his feelings. Anyways he did it for a good cause. Just enjoy him as a freind and ignore the comments of people being rude. Think of like this your freind is much braver than any other guy. He had the courage to shave his head for cancer research. He didnt care what other people where going to say but he still did it. Think of it in the good way. Ignore rude people and think on your mind that that person woulndt have done what your freind did. Dont loose your friend he sounds really cool.

My daughter and my husband did the same thing. Daughter looked great with shaved head. Husband ... not so good. But it didn't change who they are. Big whoopdedoo. Hair does grow back. What bothered me the most was other people's attitudes toward them and myself when they saw us together. People who had always been most friendly toward me now treated me as if I supported neo-Nazis. It's all good. Let me know they weren't my kind of people after all. You have the opportunity to learn something very valuable from all this. We're all shallow to some extent. You'll eventually get over it. If he really is your best guy friend, show some support and don't focus on the asthetics.

Shallow. My girlfriend lost her hair due to cancer and if I left her that would be the biggest mistake I ever made. What is wrong with a bald head anyways ? If it's for cancer research then it seems like this guy is a smart guy.

You should be ashamed of yourself for being so shallow and superficial. the one person who should be behind him unconditionally and here you are asking everyone at Yahoo Answers if you should ignore your not so nice looking friend who did something so wonderfully unselfish. The only real b---itch in your life is you honey. Grow up...a friend is a friend no matter what they look like.

If you needed to shave your head for cancer research or whatever...and people were teasing you...how would you feel if your BEST FRIEND (yeah right!) ignored you to avoid the embarrassment?
There's your answer...and yes...you'd be a total B-tch!...sorry!

ignore those morons that don't realize why he shaved his head. You friend stood up for a cause in a dramatic way, the least you could do is support him. Hair does grow back.

Stick up for him. If you can't handle that, I guess you should get a new friend. I know it's hard being a teenager, but there comes a time when you have to think about what's important to you. Is it supporting your good-hearted friend, or worrying about what you look like standing next to him?

What he did was great. You should not be embarrased about him. If he's embarrased, you should be the strong one and remind him why he did it. Be a stronger person than everyone else. I shave my head because I don't like bed head!!!! I have a really wierd head. It's ok...

wow. let me just say the guy with the name evilkids that is right before me, that is low. ummm. you should first ask him if it annoys him and then if he says yes tell him that it will grow back. but if it dosent annoy him and he dosent feel embarrased because it is going to a good cause, then you shouldnt be embarrased or annoyed. unless his head is getting bruised.
