A chance? Yes.

Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to go buy a lottery ticket.

No It's a wonderful thought but the world needs balance. You wouldn't know what happiness felt like if you never felt sadness or pain and you wouldn't know or appreciate good if there was no bad. It's sad but that's the truth take a look around you and you'll notice those who have never had to struggle don't appreciate what they have as much as those who have had to struggle and work hard for what they have. Without balance you don't really have much at all.

On the other side.....well the world would have a chance at being at much better place then it is but sadly too many people just don't care or prefer to close their eyes to what goes on around them. If every person who says "One person doesn't make a difference" or "It doesn't effect me" made an effort things would change for the better but good luck getting that to happen. Even a devastating natural disaster can't make that happen....people pretend to care for a week or two and then move on thinking they've done their part.

It took the opportunity of nuclear anhilation to make the international places and human beings of the international conscious of the real possibilty of global anhilation. considering that WWI did not ward off WWII and considering that there hasn't ever been a WWIII (regardless of commercial media hype) i might want to say that WWII has given us the added efficient shot at lasting peace. in reality, the international is a thoughts extra non violent now than it develop into when I grew up contained in the 1970's attempt now to not be too distressed through cutting-edge media coverage of the Mid East. The conflict there is fairly small scale compared to a authentic international conflict the position human beings were death through thousands an afternoon, tens of millions a month.

Nope - face the fact - All die hard Republican Americans believe in the NEW WORLD ORDER - one government. Part of that requires moving jobs and wealth to other countries - so they can be bought like our government is - the world is controlled by the wealthy few not immigrants from any Nation.
When I was growing up - there were very few Koreans,Vietnameze, Salvadoreans, Isrealis,Iranians, or other races here - till we went and forced our morals on them, started to undermine their governments and replaced them with our puppets.
Wake up and smell the brimstone!

Not unless we get access to space and find a way to transmute matter (we're close on both counts).

Peace is the temporary balance when needs are met and limited resources are not needed beyond their supply.

There will always be war. Our best bet is to make it possible to put them farther and farther away by improving our understanding of the nature of matter and travelling into space.

No! There may be a remote chance if all the world's people were of one race and one religion. With the plague of diversity of people, culture, and religions, there is no chance. Wars will continue until the doomsday nuclear blowout, and if there be two survivors of that global catastrophe, one man and one woman, there would be a chance for peace for the moment, at least until they finished *******.

Every one has differing ideas on what "peace" constitutes. One's version of peace may be a totalitarian nightmare to others. Human nature just simply renders it obsolete.

Yes there is a chance...it's called raising your intellect
the way it is now ...no way
We actually have to care for each other
Little boys having pissing contests has to stop
Governments supporting terror have to stop (this country supplies way to much armements to the world, why ...money).
It has to be a change in consciousness
A willingness in something different
After thousands of years of this crap...aren't we tired

Depends where you look, if you look in the bible it kind of says that there will always be war amongst men, as long as there is a god and a devil.

But, looking at it from a different view, and optimistic view, yes, if people can learn to work together, we will be able to.

My view, no... As long as society has its egotists and the people
who are just plain bitter, we will always be at war.
