Smoking should be banned in public. Why should I have to inhail something that causes cancer?
It's not everybody that wants to take away your freedom. Your president does of course. By vetoing bills, he says that his opinion is more important than what the people who elected him think. By having your phones and computers tapped, he doesn't trust you.
I agree that he is indeed breeding terrorism. Of course he'll find a way of pinning that on whoever brings the troops back home. As soon as their's a terrorist attack he and his croonies will say that if the military was still there it wouldn't have happened.
The reality is that he is creating terrorists in Iraq right now that are bound to attack the U.S., no matter who the president is.
If my sister was raped and killed by a U.S. soldier, I wouldn't be thinking about which political party is in power in the U.S. I would just hate the U.S. period. I might even be inclined to kill Americans, whether they be soldiers, civilians, men, women, Democrat or Republican.
I would say that the present Bush government is worse than communism, because at least with communism you have healthy ideals. It just didn't work that well. You had ideas of everyone sharing the wealth, everyone working for each other, for the benefit of the nation. Bush could learn something from that. Instead he just wants to fight his own little family wars using kids who don't know any better. His daughters stay at home partying while their peers go out and kill and die for their dad.
It's unreal that the U.S. public puts up with this. This guy seems to deserve assassination a lot more than Kennedy ever did.

Funny someone would mention conservatives being at the heart of this. Isn't it the liberals who want big government? I for one would rather give up some freedoms to feel safe. If we keep handcuffing the folks at national security how are they going to catch the bad guys? the libs want to apply american freedoms to people who are not american citizens. If there are any terrorists being bred in this country it is coming from the left.

i don't know about just me,but i,ve never been free or eva had any real rights in this country,my rites are violated all the time.the laws in this country prevent me from getting a job an taking care of wats mine,so i resort back to the thing that bars me from getting a job now,a life of crime!now cuz of 9/11 every bodies in the same boat
(meaning it doesn't matter if ur black or latino anymore.erbody getting screwed)
7-10 year background checks,
everyone is doing piss tests
credit checks(your finances)
the price of living is climbing every day(food,utilities,public transportation,rent$$$)
all the while ppl on both sides of a war,regaurdless of who started it,ppl are getting killed like crazy an we do nothing as a ppl,but let are goverment do the work for us!
(dictate wats rite& wats wrong,jus watch the news)

Goodness sake, I'm a democrat. We've fought for rights for years. What rights? After all the work we did to make equal rights, free speech, and freedom of expression household phrases, I hear crud like this.
We have more rights than any war-time peoples virtually anywhere (save those countries that lost wars).
The rights that the liberals whine about is for the Islamic combatants!
They've chosen sides in WWIII. So have many of us.
