The fuzzy you're seeing is probably an aquarium fungus that grows on organic material in the tank. It wouldn't kill fish or your sea monkeys, but it could grow on them once they're dead. This is a photo of what it looks like growing on a dead bug: http://www.visualsunlimited.com/images/watermarked/227/227311.jpg

You should have air in the tank with sea monkeys (actually brine shrimp) all the time. You might need to clean their tank a little more often if the fungus is growing on old food to remove it.

Sea monkeys don't have a very long lifespan, and you don't say how old yours were. It's hard to keep them for more than a few months.

This article gives some advice on how to hatch them and grow them to a large size (aquarium keepers use brine shrimp as a live fish food): http://www.aquarticles.com/articles/management/Pegasus_Brine_Shrimp.html If yours were adults, they may have laid eggs in the water which will hatch for you.

I read the fuzz u find in ur sea monkey tank needs to be sucked out asap. It can get stuck to ur Sea Monkeys & will cause them to die cause they can't seem to swim normally with it on them. I don't know where it comes from, i found ur question by trying to search for the answer myself, with no luck. I noticed when 1 of my Monkeys had it stuck to him,he was unable to swim normally. I just check the water& ground when giving them air, lol I also read they die whenever, no matter how great u care 4 them, they do Love the algae, that grows in their tank, even though u will want to clean it, I still try to clean it a bit. But as long as u feed them & give them air,&suck out the white fuzz, they should be okay. Oh, I did read that if u feel their tank & it feels cold to u, the water is to cold for them, so keep a nice temp for them. There isn't a lot of info, mostly trail & error, but good luck!!
