well i guess we found out today. I thought it wasn't hard. The dbq was simple and so were the free response. Hopefully u did ok.

I obvioullsy won't give any tips now, test being over and everything. It's weird though, I'm the opposite of everyone else- I suck at multiple choice (on my best practice test I got 44, though it should have been 45) but I rock at essays. I serisously loved the DBQ on the test, loved it loved it loved it.
Anyway I procastinated to the last possible second- somehow never read half the textbook, but my teacher made all these packets for us (which we entitled the 'Holliday kills tree's packets') with info about the most important leaders and treaties and such. And we had these study sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday after school until 7:30 and then 8:30 the next day. We were all going insane from studying that long, but ya.
We used the Princenton review, and the textbook (Spievogel's Western Civilization) and... the packets I mentioned. And we just had study sessiond like hell. Like on Friday most of us just stayed in our Euro class 1st and 2nd period (the period's there is Euro) and then since the principle was mad about that we went to the library 3rd, then back to Euro during lunch, then to the test.
Anyway, I think it could have been worse. The essay's I think I did pretty well on, I did ok at multiple choice, and I loved the DBQ. Am I the only one like that though?

Well lets see the day before the test now
so its a little late for adivice but this is what i did
I bought the Sparknotes for AP euro history and with that comes
a spark chart with the order of history
over 1000 flash cards
practice DBQ, free reponce, and practice tests
and yah in the entire time ive taken the class i havn't gotten an A once, but i started studying a month ago and lookw ehre it got me yesterday we took a practice test, and if you go 55/80 you got an A and you dont have to take the final for the class and i was one of 40 out of about 200 who dont have to take the final.
the test is scored like this
you take the (number wrong) x (1/4) - (the number right) all times 1.125 = 50% of your score so anywhere int he 50's (correct) is a good score
for DBQ's
0-1 = 1
2-3 = 2
4-5 = 3
6-7 = 4
8-9 = 5
Multiply that by 4.5
For free response
same deal but multiplied by 2.25
theres 2 free responses and you ahve 3 choices
so basicly if your good at the multiple choice like really good and can get int he 50's and an ok write so like 3-4's you can get a 3 on the test if your a semi writer like me and can wirte 5's - 6's you can get a 4 and then theres the good ones who write 7-9's can get a 5
or if you suck at writing and get 1's make sure u score atleast 60-70 on the miltiple choice if you wanna get a 4 or a 5

Ooooh, I'm taking it too-Fri, the 11th, obv.
Yeahh, it's pretty hard I think-but my cousin got a 5, no problem.
I think it takes a whole lot of studying is what I've heard, and I've also heard the following study tips
1) Do the multiple choice as fast as you can-more time to check it over
2)With your DBQ, make a chart of OUTSIDE info prior to reading the docs, it'll take your answer to the next level of the scoring if you include all the stuff
3) Make sure your essay answers the question!
4) Pay attention to the "EXCEPT" questions-everyone messes up on those-
I haven't heard about the textbook-we use the 9th edition of Western Heritage-supposed to be amazing, but I don't have time to read it over now!

I'm Taking it Tomorrow......... My sister took it last year and got a 4. She said if you read the "Cracking the AP EUROPEAN HISTORY Exam" (The Princeton review) You should be fine, because ALL the multiple choice questions are answered with detail in the complete history review section of the book!!! And its a great review source.
Don't use the McKay book, its garbage compared to the book I have listed above....

dood, i go to preuss in la jolla, and everyone, (well most people) are over stressing it. like, its bad enough that we go to a school that grinds us to the bones, but we are required to take AP courses. however, it benefits us if we pass/ yet, depending on the school youre deciding to attend to for college, some dont except it unless you get 4-5.

i know im overstressing and all, but i just want to pass... what i really need is sleep. and i really regret procrastinating to this week.

Its rough, know your facts. If you can find any type of Barrons or any books like that read through them. Memorize, memorize, memorize. Good luck. Our grades ranged from about a 69-92 (and we are, of course, an AP class)

I hear that it's pretty easy. The passing rate is usually 70%. Don't worry about it.
