a slipperclutch for sportbikes comes from racing it allows the clutch to slip a little on high rpm dowm shifts to prevent the rear wheel chattering as it looses traction allows for smooth down shifts under extreme riding

a slipper clutch is a clutch that completely eliminates engine braking...ya know where you down shift and the inersia throws your weight forward and it's like torture. they're only made for the big bikes [250 and 450f's]
for me, it would be useless. i use engine braking to my advantage...i ride/race a cr85 and am sponsored. =]
