We were discurssing the Bystander Effect in my sociology class and incident came up when two teenage boys were playing in an arcade when a really young girl passed by, about 7 years old i guess. One of the boys followed her into the bathroom and raped her. Im not sure but I think he also killed her. The other one knew what was going on but didnt stop it. The one who raped the girl was caught and jailed but the other boy was let go after questioning. Soon after he got accepted into a really good college and the students there protested against his admission. Thats all I know. My teacher told us the story but she didnt know all the details. I'd like to read more up on this. Does anyone know about this and any specific details about it? Thanks! =)

I think this is the story you are talking about. Jeremy Strohmeyer raped and murdered 7 year old Sherrice Iverson in a casino. She was there with her father, but he apparently wasn't supervising her. The friend of Strohmeyer was David Cash.

I remember hearing a story like this - don`t know if it was the same one though. Well they both should have been sent down shouldn`t they ? The story i heard - no he didn`t kill her - he raped her. Bad story - bad justice.
