For example most people now say Skedule instead of Schedule and Paitriotic instead of Patriotic (think about it- its just plain wrong. Do Americans call someone called Patrick -Paitrick)

. those examples are British pronunciations not American.
We say Patrick, schedule and Patriotic

The inclusion and stressing of the word "so" in the wrong place in a sentence:

"That is SO not funny" rather than, "That is not so funny"

and the inclusion of the word "like" after every other word:

"I was, like, going to the, like, mall for a, like, bagel"

The ommission of vowels from words, such as detail (D-tail) and fragile (Fra-gl).

English and American English are two entirely seperate languages.

I know what you mean... i always say i guess so,, thats american.. my son said the other day i cant find my trousers are they in the closet only to be told there was a hole in the fanny(bum) area. and he wasnt wearing them for no one !! i think its a result of media coverage and american tv programmes / we as parents should limit tv and we dont.... its terrible.

When people say 'Like' every 2 seconds. and it's not just short snappy 'like'... It's long dragged out 'like'.
That sounds more as though it should be spelt 'lyyke'.
