Yes. There are several theories. One is that it is caused by cell phones.
At one time it was said that the human race could not survive for more tan 4 years without bees. They are that important to pollination.

It has been on the news and in the papers for weeks now. Bottom line is, experts can't agree on the cause. One day a hive is healthy and working and the next the bees are gone. They also commented that unlike past problems where there were lots of dead bees to examine, there are no dead bees this time. They are just gone. Of course they are dead but not at the hive. This makes determining the cause more difficult.

I heard about it on U.S. Farm Report the other morning. They said it might be due to both a virus and a bacteria the bees are contracting, or cell phone towers that mess up their navigation returning back to the nest. Nothing definite has been determined yet.

Yeah I heard that was due to millions of cell phones being used. During a study to detect cell phone usage on brain damage it was found that no evidence has been shown to show signs of damage to the brain. But the bee's are not as lucky.
