From actress to future actor- RELAX. It is so, so much fun. I know a lot of people are nervous that they will be teased but dont worry- if it makes you happy, which im sure it will- it doesnt madder and no one will tease you. Think of it like a game that you want to win. Good luck!

What you do on stage depends on what you think and feel. If you're thinking "I'm on a stage and people are looking at me," then naturally you're going to get nervous.

When on stage, your thoughts and feelings need to be the thoughts and feelings of the character you're playing, not your own. It's not just reciting words; look beyond the words in the script and ask yourself, "What is my character thinking? How does he feel right now? What mood is he in? How does he feel physically: excited, tired, worried, angry?"

Think of a time when you felt the same way. There's a thing called "sense memory" ... you can remember the physical feelings associated with a particular emotion, for example the muscle tension and chest tightness associated with anger.

Put your own thoughts in the back of your mind, let the ideas and emotions of the character guide you. Let a small part of you believe that you *are* the character you're playing ... treat the others on stage not as classmates, but as family members, friends, enemies, whatever their roles are. Let the moment on stage become real just for that moment. Don't just act, react -- listen to the others and make their characters part of the world on stage.

Go get some movies with Danny Devito in them. If he can make it anyone its proof physical looks isn't all it takes.

You sound like you really don't want to be an Actor, and if that's the case then you won't.
