if you want, you could buy a tv tuner, its like a video card inserted on your motherboard but it would let you watch local television show, even it has a radio tuner.

You need to get a TV tuner card, and insert it into one of the PCI slots in your computer. The tuner card will get the TV signals and shows it on your monitor.
The TV tuner card costs about $50.
