shell suits.
Well I was only 7 and it was 1988.
otherwise I spent the last few years following what suits me not what was trendy- mainly as of cash flow shortage but also cos so many things now a days look so naff!
My firsr example? a smock dress- even worse ? a PLAIN jersy smock - so unflattering unless your like two and want to visit the beach.

this is true, four of us dressed up as zombies and the like for a Halloween party, we all piled into this club where we thought we were supposed to be, we saw a vicar sitting at the bar and we thought it was the priest out of the exorcist, my friend said "nice one mate" when we got into the main part of the place it was the British legion all wearing suits and medals they all looked at us and explained that the party we were looking for was next door at the ta place oh god was we embarrassed and did we laugh

A green shiny plastic dress with brass buttons. It would creak when I moved.
I still have a photo of me in it, just to remind me of the bad taste that I can achieve without trying too hard.

a pair of multi coloured bermuda shorts. i was 11 and wore these all the time while on my roller skates with my cap on side ways, they are the embarrassing photos my mum still has,its embarrassing,especially as i'm a female, my 11yr old daughter would go mad if i tried to dress her like that.oh well,i thought i looked good,ha ha

It would have to be back in the 80's with a frilly white blouse and short jade green ra-ra skirt, holy phuk! I really did think i was the dogs bollox. I feel so ashamed lol!

OMG...cannot believe i am telling you this! do you remember shell suits!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i was only 13 but even so? i had a garish bright yellow reebok limited edition one! i thought i was the bees knees in it? i was especially proud when i got sent home from school 3 times for wearing it! omg i had a naf naf jacket too! when they were cool!!!!!!!!! i cringe when i look back at the horrendous photos...thought i was soooo trendy......pmsl i was a teenage chav! should be in take a break!
