If you're thinking of joining your school's band... all instruments are played with both hands. If you are physically unable to use one of your hands, since I don't know what your condition is - I recommend talking to your local high school or middle school band director. Make an appointment to test out different instruments and see which is easiest to play for you. Woodwinds are out of the question because you need all your fingers to play all the keys, but brass only needs one hand for the valves. I play trumpet, which is very popular, and you have to be very good and work hard to be competitive, but I love it. Jazz band is fun cause the music is fun and you can dance to it and sometimes make up your own solos.

My favorite instrument to play is my trumpet, which could be done with one hand. It isn't really hard to play, but the music you're playing can get hard sometimes.

You can play the kazoo with one hand... All you have to do with your hand is hold it. The music is made by humming!
