I tried to find the story but don't wanna look that hard, a few months ago an 18 year old boy set his little brother on fire at a gas pump because he took out his cell and tried making a call. It was all over our local news because the family didn't want to press charges but Albertsons did. Jerks

Actually you can catch fire. If there is enough heat and fumes in the air the static electricity from the cell phone can cause an explosion. It is a fact and has happened.

It's a remote possibility, it can be caused by static electricity. You should never slide back into oyur car seat while pumping gas, get back out, either.

I've never seen it happen, but I reported it on the news. And everything I, Ron Burgundy, say is the TRUTH.
