I do both,if i hear it i will look out the front door to see if its on the street and if it is i will run upstairs to get a better look out of my bedroom window,if i cant see out of that i will pretend there is a mark on my window and take out a cloth to clean the window but all the while look at the ambulance, when i have done that for as long as possible i will then find some milk bottles to put on the step(we don't have a milkman but i put out a vase, they don't know this) then if its still there and i haven't found out who or what is happening i will knock on my neighbours door as she has a radio tuned in to the emergency services (don't know why she has this but we spend many an evening ''listening in'') in the unlikely event of her not knowing i will pretend i am taking a hot flush and need air, thus giving me more time to find out,I usually find out by doing all these things sometimes in a different order!
So i suppose i am a curtain twitcher aswell as a neb eh?

I go for a neb and take the camera, just incase anything decent's going on.

Neither, be ready in case I could do something for someone, in case it was a deaf person, I could translate and alleviate the pressure around the emergency crews.

I go out and sit on my porch; partly out of concern, partly out of fascination, partly just cuz it is an event that rarely happens where i live.
