Men are not nearly as on top of these things as women are. That might be a generalization but its been my personal experience. I make sure to remind him a week or so in advance in a casual way. This goes for most things if it involves me or not. (A birthday in his family etc) That way he has a heads up and can plan for whatever. He's forgotten dates in the past and it's not the kind of thing that I get too upset about. Life is busy, its not hard to get distracted and forget something. We made a pact to go away for our anniversary every year so its hard to forget around here. We're usually very excited to plan a long weekend away from our kids! lol

That being said..I'm not your wife!! She might get REALLY pissed, you better get thinkin......

I am a chick and if my husband forgot our wedding anniversary I would not be pissed but yes I would be mad because that is the way thing a guy should remember.

Special occasions shouldn't be a guessing game or a game between the two of you at all. My husband and I begin discussing what we would like to do for our upcoming anniversaries and other occasions before hand. For one of his landmark birthdays last year we planned a weekend in Las Vegas with two other couples flying in to meet us from other states to help make it even more special. We never "wait and see" if one or the other remembers. We always plan together. No muss, no fuss, no occasion is missed therefore no hard feelings.

Pissed..no. Extremely hurt, yes. My father used to do that to my mom every year. He would send her flowers a week later saying, " Better Late Than Never!". It took a toll on her. If you did forget be honest and let her know. And make up for it BIG TIME! :)

My husband has no problem remembering the day(it's Valentine's Day) he just can't remember what year! I don't know how he could forget but if he did I wouldn't be mad I would just make him feel really guilty because of the great gift I remembered to get him!

I hope not. My husband is much better at remembering things like that than I am. In fact last year I got the date wrong and he just laughed and said that is why he loves me so. I am a scatter brain until it comes to the children, we have 6.

Pissed is not the word.
Didn't your wedding vowels include I Do?
I will do this: I WILL NEVER FORGET
OUR ANNIVERSARY. Sorry but thats a no-no.
For next year put it in your computer's
calander. Ifeel sorry for you.

Husband forgot my birthday one year. I didn't say a word. Three days later the doorbell rang. He came back into the kitchen with a bouquet of flowers, with a scowling look on his face he stared at me and said "were you expecting these?" I said , "No." He said, "well why don't you open the card." I did and read it. He could barely keep his cool and said, "so who are they from? I said, "your parents." he replied, "why would my parents be sending you flowers??? I said, "I don't know, maybe it's because my B-day was 3 days ago." I think crapped in his pants. Needless to say, he offered me his credit card and endless apologies.

I don't know about other women but if my husband forgets an important day like that, I would be angry and hurt at the same time.

The first 10 years, yes. (I'm the wife)
After that...you get so used to "another year" rolling around, that if he forgets....what's the big deal? It's still another year.
However, if he always remembers, he's definitely on my good side....and I'll keep cookin'! :)
