Jinxed, I dont agree with abortion, but that issue alone is not a deal breaker for me when I vote. Some of us actually do have a brain. I talk about abortion alot because I feel people shoudl be more responsible with their actions.

After watching nine Presidential elections come and go, I have never seen anything change that republicans use to rally their base. A four hundred dollar tax cut six years ago is still talked about like it saved America and Clinton is still the devil and everything is his fault. I watched it all again one more time last night. Senator McCain is going into hell after Bin Laden, I loved it and all said Roe v Wade is in trouble, again, and homosexuals can be fired for being homosexuals. The all inclusive party at its best.

When I voted for Bush in 2000, it had nothing to do with abortion, and it had nothing to do with gay rights. In fact I dont think abortion should be illegal, and I dont have a problem with gay people.
I voted with the GOP as you put it cuz Gore was a nut.
In 2004, when I voted for Bush again ( and believe me I really wanted a better candidate to vote for ) I voted again for Bush becuase Kerry was a nut as well.

If the Dems could bring a candidate to the forefront that wasnt an idiot, a looney a nut or a raving super socialist they might get my vote.

I'm not a Republican, but I am pro-life. And yeah, I sometimes get sucked into voting Republican because of the party's promises about abortion, but usually nothing is done. Republican talking points about taxes and abortion are designed to rally the base and nothing more. The Republicans throw a couple of bones our way every election, but not much else.

I am an independent who leans to the conservative side. I am Pro choice. Why do you assume that all conservatives oppose abortion?

I completely loathe you arrogant creeps who constantly condescend to other people claiming that the issues they care about are ones that they shouldn't care about.
