No gourami are tropical fish that need a heater.

Another type of fish that can go with goldfish are White Cloud minnows..they like the same temperatures.

The paradise fish is the only coldwater gourami, and these will be too aggressive to keep with goldfish, especially an oranda, which can't swim fast enough to avoid them. They are territorial and bully other fish in their tank. If the paradise is large enough, they'll even eat smaller fish.

Seems best to get your oranda another fancy goldfish if you'd want him to have a buddy (and your tank is big enough to keep two).

No, they are not compatible with your oranda. The water is too cold for a gourami of any kind.

Try some doing some research on cold water aquariums. Theres some neat fish out there for you.

No. But goldfish need a lot of their own space anyway -- it will get big and gorgeous. Put the gourami in a separate tank and enjoy it's personality also.

not a superior theory. merely purchase a 5 gallon tank for the betta for >$20.00. Bettas fairly should be in a tank with a minimum of 10 gallons, as they are tropical fish that desire a heater. merely because puppy shops keep them in cups(it really is fairly cruel through ways) does not recommend you ought to to. you could attempt it, besides the indisputable fact that the mass ammonia produced through the Goldfish will kill the betta, or the betta will kill the goldfish. wish I helped. solid success

Gouramia are a tropical fish and goldfish are cold water. If you were to put them together, one or the other will not thrive.
