This is a real personal thing, but they do clean them selves, and it really is not nessisary to add chemicals there.

What is douching?
The word "douche" means to wash or soak in French. Douching is washing or cleaning out the vagina (also called the birth canal) with water or other mixtures of fluids. Usually douches are prepackaged mixes of water and vinegar, baking soda, or iodine. Women can buy these products at drug and grocery stores. The mixtures usually come in a bottle and can be squirted into the vagina through a tube or nozzle.

This is all about personal hygiene. From Wikipedia:
A douche (IPA: [du:ʃ]) is a device used to introduce a stream of water into the body for medical or hygienic reasons, or the stream of water itself. The word comes from the French language, in which its principal meaning is a shower (it is thus a notorious false friend encountered by non-native speakers of English; the phrase for vaginal douching is douche vaginale).

Douches may consist of water, water mixed with vinegar, or even antiseptic chemicals. Frequent douching with water may result in an imbalance of the pH of the vagina, and thus may put women at risk for possible vaginal infections.

Douching is a way to "cleanse" the inside of your vagina by artificial means. It is harmful to your body because it messes up your body's pH balance and destroys the healthy bacteria that reside there to do just that. Not many thinking people actually still douche.

Douching isn't bad, but it is usually unhealthy because it can very easily give you an infection. You spray a liquid, usually water, into you vagina or anus so that fhings like blood, feces, or urine will drain out. Women often douche after periods because they think it helps to clean out the vagina; but because it actually goes into your vagina, it just makes it more likely that you will get an infection.

It is using a bag with a hose on it and an end piece made for the purpose of washing out the vagina.

Normally it is really not needed...

a douche is a cleaning of your vigaina. you can buy them at any store in the "girly isile" but really douching isnt' really needed. when you do that you clean out the good bacteria that you need. just leave well enough alone your body will clean itself out when needed.
