Has anyone used this software? If so, what do you think about it?
Also, if the Palm handheld is attached to the computer with an USB cable, but the Palm Handheld is Off - will the Backup Man software still backup every hour (that's how often I set it to backup)?
I'm not really clear how this program works differently from the HotSync action.

1. Backup Man is good.

2. It will backup when the Palm is off.

3. Backing up every hour is pretty paranoid. I am very paranoid and daily is OK for me.

4. Hotsync does not back up everything, and having the backup on your memory card is incredibly valuable.

5. NVBackup is FREE and in some ways better. (http://www.freewarepalm.com)

I've tried BackupMan, but I didn't like it as much as BackupBuddyVFS by Blue Nomad. I have been using BBVFS Pro for many years and it works great. It even has a continuous mode so you can backup any changed file as soon as you exit a program. Check it out. You might want to compare your options with the latest release of Resco Backup for palm too. In my opinion, BackupBuddyVFS Pro is the best and most full-featured of the backup apps out there for Palm.

BackupBuddyVFS is totally separate from your HotSync action so it would still do auto backups if it was attached to the USB cable or not.

There are over 6 billion humans on our planet. To assume that there is only one that you could have a functional relationship with is a bit naive. If you're lucky, you still find the person appealing after the honeymoon period, and the rest is work to keep that going. A "soul mate" is a nice idea, but i don't think it's at all realistic.

I use Backup Man and this it's a great product.

It helps ensure that programs are compatible and it is another layer to make sure that data is saved and not lost.

I still manually synch my Palm to my PC.

The program is more about making sure you don't lose crucial data that doing auto back-ups.

Hope this helps clear up the issue!

Good luck!
