If he is laying stretched out with his head ****** back and his mouth wide open, then he's over heated. Get a water bottle (plastic, the kind that we drink out of) and fill it with water, freeze the bottle and then set it in the cage next to him. Then he should lean up against it, this will make him come slowly out of it. Make sure, that he's in shade (if outside) And make sure he has plenty of food and COLD water.

It could also be a parasite commonly known among all rabbits. It's called "Ear Mites" If there's any build-up in the ears, It'll be cream or tan colored (sometimes bleeding) and flakey. You can buy cheap medicine at the store, and you drop several drops into their ears. sometimes, if you can't catch it in time then the earmites can travel down through their ear canals, and into their brain, which causes brain damage.

Well I'm no expert but if it's shivering prob cold. And it also doesn't sound like it's acting dead to me. Bring him to the vet. If you have other animals like a dog or cat he might be being put into shock every time one passes his cage or somthing. :)

Acting or is the bunny really sick, if he's sick you should take him to a vet A.S.A.P. and if he's acting you should put the bunny in a show.

You take him to the vet, and don't waste anymore time asking questions on yahoo answers because no one her can really help you.
