and 250 miles per 10 minute charge.

Wait til it comes down in price. Oil corporations, Ford, GM and Toyota have nothing on this beauty.

And, cons say that environmentalists can't be sexy. Clean air is sexy and so is driving this.
Is that hot or what?

So you macho men need a pick up truck, no problem. Here's one that goes from 0 to 60 in 10 seconds.

Sorry, but electric cars are our future. They are only going to get better and cheaper to make. I find this kind of innovation very exciting. It really is in the American spirit and imagination to alter our dependence on oil.

No offense, really - but I nicknamed you Marie Antoinette for saying that Alaskans can afford to have organic beef, etc. flown in.

Back to this issue - who ever said environmentalists can't be sexy? And why on earth are you guys so convinced that *all* conservatives hate the earth and want to destroy it? It's a very arrogant attitude. I don't know a single conservative who feels that way. Most people I know *do* try to take care of the environment. Most people I know *do* drive sensible cars. But why should I have to buy TWO cars? I *need* a big truck. I didn't buy it because I like forking out a small fortune to fill up the tank, or because it's so easy to park. I bought it because we live on a small farm and we *need* it. I haul horses, pigs, tractors, hay - whatever needs to be hauled. I'm getting tired of being sneered at by people who have *no* idea what kind of life I lead.

That being said, I *was* very surprised - and disgusted - by all the full size SUVs I saw in Florida. City and highway traffic (at least most highways in the states) do *not* require 4-wheel drive. But - it's those people's RIGHT to drive what they choose. I don't think it's fair to judge *anyone* about their choice of vehicles without knowing *why* they drive it.

My sis-in-law just bought a new, full-size SUV. Why? She runs a day care, and needed something big enough to haul 8 kids in. Does that make her a bad person?

No thanks. I'll stick with an F-250 Supercab with bull horns on the hood and a gunrack in the back window. I run over tiny little environmental whacko cars.

PS- My horn plays "Dixie", too.
