It really depends on your body. The best bet would be to go with a low dose, less hormones have a smaller impact on your body. There's a slightly smaller rate of effectiveness with lower doses though. It's all about trade-offs.
Maybe try dieting and exercising when you first start taking them - until you know how it's going to impact your body. I took otrho-cyclen lo (NOT tri cyclen, that made me sick) for several years and never lost any weight or had any other side effects for that matter.

I recommend the pill. Its the only birth control that I've used that did not cause me to gain weight. I gained the most weight while on the shot.

I would try the pill. I used to believe that it caused weight gain til i read an article saying it is a myth. Only around 10% do gain a bit of weight.

I am on Kariva (Pill) and have had no weight gain issues.

Each pill is different for each person.

I would consult with your doctor about your weight gain concerns while on the pill so they can help you find one you are comfortable with.
