You won't keep friends long if you constantly split hairs. Technically, you are right. But, then, why do we call the tool a wrench, when in physics, the only tool that creates the physical action known as wrenching is a screwdriver? So, do we start calling everyone a jackass because they call a screwdriver a screwdriver? Are you going to start calling a screwdriver a wrench? Then, what do you want to start calling a wrench? Or, we could just all be British for the weekend and start calling them "spanners" (what the bloody 'ell they "span", I have no idea).

Common nomenclature is just that - we use a generic term or phrase, and (most of the time) everyone understands what we mean. By the previous logic, I hope you are not referring to all tissue as Kleenex, since Kleenex is a brand name.

And we could go on and on. Just let it go.
