"I will veto any legislation that weakens current federal policies and laws on abortion, or that encourages the destruction of human life at any stage," he wrote.

The destruction of human life at any stage?!?

The man is insane.

He's responsible for more destruction of human life than any other person currently alive!

I don't understand Republicans...you want to save fetuses at all cost, but once the fetus grows into an adult, you won't lose any sleep for killing tens of thousands of them.

It makes no logical sense. Babies = don't kill. adults = kill all day, every day.

I don't report *anyone* homie. You guys are entitled to your opinions not matter how much I happen to agree or disagree.

I had 12 violations yesterday and another 3 this morning. But I'm not about to stoop to that level.

I am a "pro-life" Christian -- really. But to me, that means that you've got to be pro-life in every regard. God doesn't offer us a multiple choice menu in the 10 Commandments.

Your question is a good one, and I do wish our Idiot King's so-called "Christian" supporters would consider more the path Jesus taught.

Just consider the source and move on. I think that there may be enough votes to override a veto on this issue anyway. There are some Republicans who don't want to control everyone else's life. My bet is that they will bolt to the other side of the aisle when it comes to abortion legislation, because the majority of America still supports a woman's right to choose, not Dubya's right to dictate his moral beliefs and platitudes. Failing that, there's always next session. I think that many in the public have come to the point of view that the Republican Party stands for meddling in people's private affairs. All we need do is recall the Schiavo debacle of two years ago to see that. Dubya's huffing and puffing is simply another manifestation of this sort of mentality. The Republicans will probably lose even more seats in the next general election, which result we can ascribe largely to the Chimp-in-Chief and the gang of goons who ring his fortress (i.e. Karl Rove, Dick Cheney et al). Remember though, in the final analysis, Dubya too shall pass. With his departure, all the excrement that he has attempted to force upon the American public will be dumped. Post haste, I might add.

First, it's not Bush speaking. It's Cheney, with his hand up Bush's a**, making his mouth move.

Second, babies are easy political tools. They're cute, they are defenseless, and they can't talk back, as opposed to angry adults who disagree with our completely inept foreign policy and/or occupation of their homeland.

Last, even seen a magic show? The name of the game is distraction. "Ladies, and gents, pay no attention to the giant apocalypse now occurring in the Middle East. Focus instead on the fight to save innocent babies from annihilation!"

Now, quit paying attention to important political issues and go eat some chemically altered food like Uncle Sam wants you to.

This makes perfect sense. For those of you saying there is no comparison think again. These soldiers volunteered to protect our freedom. Iraq did not threaten our freedom. Al Queda threatened our freedom. They weren't even in Iraq until we arrived!! YOUR PRESIDENT LIED TO YOU!!!!! Sorry but its the truth. He lied to you about who attacked us on 9-11, he lied to you about the WMDs and he is lying to you now. The man is a liar. He IS a MURDERER. He single handedly shot down a bill that would bring our troops home. He is responsible for any of the troops who die after March of '08.

In order for Bush to have anything remotely resembling a straight face, he would need some type of plastic surgery.

I doubt there is a doctor that could willingly provide the necessary operations.

I believe that there are people alive today who kill more than Bush, as bad as he is.

That argument could very easily be turned to - why do Democrats kill babies but want convicted murderers to be coddled in a nice, cozy prison cell...

And I'm pro-choice, by the way...but over 43,000,000 innocent babies murdered because they were inconvenient - I have a BIG problem with that.

Oh gimme a break. Apples and Oranges
Anyways, 93% of abortions are done because the child isn't wanted. Only 7% due to medical reasons, rape, and incest which would get federal funding.

Why should federal money be used to help women get abortions. Over 40% of abortions are done on women who have had prior abortions.

We allow women to kill their babies and now they want the government to pay for it???

***Medicaid pays for abortions for rape, incest, and certain medical reasons. States vary but most offer abortions for low income families, or in cases of rape, incest, etc.

I support our presidents decision to veto!

It makes perfect sense. Humans once adults have something called choice. They can choose to live or choose to die. A fetus does not have that option. He/she is sucked out of the womb with a hose long before they even get a shot.

I really don't understand why you don't see that fundamental difference. Ok, ok. Some casualties over there didn't have a choice, but its not Bush's intent to kill indiscriminately. Unlike abortion which kills every fetus that walks through the door.

It is because there is no actual connection between his brain and his mouth. We have seen numerous examples of this throughout his two stolen terms in office. This allows him to feel no remorse for decisions that result in the death of thousands of people. It allows him to spout any words without logic or compassion behind them.
