I need to know about the anti-theft system. I have a third horn and a switch for the hood. I don't have a switch for the t-tops and there is not any wires going to the left door lock. Do I have an anti theft system??

T-tops never had alarm switches (they use to steal from our dealer lot like crazy back then) and the third horn and hood switch should indicate an alarm system. I believe the wiring would go to the door jamb switch in that year but not positive...a Chev dealer parts dept. would be able to bring up a pic of the alarm system components and location on the car.
Hope this helps, Paul

First I have to ask, do have the owners manual -- if not get one, they are available at any Certified GM dealership, just ask at the parts counter. All Corvettes were installed with a manufacture anti-theft system. I currently own a 1980 Corvette, didn't know I had this system, until one day it went off...I later found out that the manufacture actually installed this feature on all Corvettes, the previous owner didn;t even know -- for some reason not a lot of people know. Hope this helps, good luck.

I don't remember t-top switches on my 78. I believe the hood had a switch. I think that's the factory alarm config
