I think the solution lies if you accept yourself who you are...and by standing behind your beliefs no matter what others say...but sometimes is kind of hard, right :)

That is one solution to a dual problem.

Persuasion requires that you want someone to change their thinking or their action in some way. This is the route to frustration and power struggles in life.

My view, people are free to choose their own beliefs and their own suffering. Believe what you like.

However, fear is a great persuader. I could likely frighten you and persuade you to do what I want and in my way.

I could threaten or coerce you to do as I want.

I could use rejection and neglect to persuade you to do as I want or to change your thinking.

I could use public forms of embarrassment and ridicule to persuade you to change your mind or your ways.

by doing what they want first.. so it will be easy to persuade them later on.
