When I have said it on numerous occasions and the child still does it anyway (defiant). I pre-warn prior to the spanking. However there just comes an age (about 13) that a spanking does not do as well as other punishments.

I guess when I do something "stupid" (fortunately it seems less frequent this year). Don't know about a "good" spanking -- the hairbrush and the belt both make the backside sore very quickly!
Yeah, I guess most kids "deserve" a spanking if they sass their parents, show disrespect for parents (esp. if the parents are "good" parents).
