Other than the law violates the Second Amendment, totally is against what the founders intended and gives the government too much power. I have no problem with blocking a law that is redundant since there is no reason that a terror watch list isn't already connected to NCIC.

The bill gives the Attorney General too much discretionary power to deny purchases for arbitrary reasons and there is no way to know how someone gets on the list, no way to restore rights.

And in all honesty it is the natural logical progression of the Patriot act. It really bugs me that one of the people that was yelling the loudest about the Patriot Act has put this bill together.

Trying to pass a law to try to "keep" terrorists from buying firearms in the US without securing the borders and the ports is nothing more than a smoke screen. Besides according to Jonathan Edwards there is no war on terror, so what is the point of passing a law that isn't necessary?

nicely, if we've been a sprint extra particular who we permit interior the country interior the 1st place, this could no longer be an argument in any respect. in the event that they are human beings, the Patriot Act supplies the splendid for the government to detain those human beings indefinitely, they won't be able to purchase weapons then the two. the two way the government is responsible, for letting terrorists in, and for no longer detaining risky suspected terrorists. they could do extra injury with hand-crafted bombs besides.
