You count 28 days from the first day you start your period. Here is a good website to track your periods that I have been using for years. Best of all its free. It will tell you what day to expect your period & what days you will ovulate. http://www.cyclespage.com/

When I first started menstruating 22 years ago (ugh I feel old), I was told to start counting the day after my period ENDS. Counting this way I always had my period on day 28.
SO if yours ends May 9th, May 10th would be #1. #28 would be the day your next period "should" start.
That is if you are regular. If you are not, it could be anywhere from 20 days to a month and a half or more.
If you've just started menstruating, you may not be regular for a while (some up to 2 years).

You count from the start of one period, to the start of the next. 28 days is just the average. Woman's cycles can be as short as 18 days, or as long as 39 days.

You count 28 days from the day you start. So you'll probably start on May 30th.

28 days from when your last one ended ...or if u want to u can count from the second but then u would have to count 35 days insted of 28. The best way to keep track is to keep a calender.....not only a big one for your room but a little on for in a purse or backpack so if u forget to cheak at home u can count on you little on in your purse.

28 days from the day you start is when your next cycle should begin again. 14 days from the time you start is when you are your most fertile. this is, of course, if you are regular. birth control pills can help regulate you if you are not already.
