Just wondering, would they (clams, oysters, mussels) live well with them in a large tank, with the temp at 78 degrees...

They can, but these are filter feeders, so they require very fine food suspended in the water to eat. They will get some of their nutrition from what's already in the tank, but may require periodic feedings to thrive. Feeding them usually creates waste in the tank and will mean more filter rinsing and water changes on your part. If possible, mix the powdered food (you can crush pellets or flakes rather than buy invertebrate food) in a little water and squirt it directly at them with a turkey baster to reduce the amount of food needed.
