White represents purity, and only virgin maids can ask a unicorn to approach them, so it looks like unicorns are white by definition... but who knows... if a definition is fictional you (or any other person) can make their own... my ideal definition is white with an ivory horn that grows back, so I can sell many many ivory horns and become really really rich... what do u think? hahaha ;-)

If unicorns are anything like Lippizans, they're gray until they reach a certain age and then they turn white.

When young they are ugly, like a skinned rat with sores. As they grow older they cease to exist and become fictional.
