I'm just looking for opinions from people with experience. Was it, or is it, a good/bad experience? I've always thought I'd have no problem with adopting a child someday, but I'd like to hear from people who have been through it.

i was adopted and i thank my lucky stars everyday... i have a wonderful life that i wouldn't have had otherwise... i know this because my birth family 'found' me a few years back and all i can say is i have truly been blessed.. i shudder to think what my life would have been like without adoption

No i have not been adopted or adopted anyone. BUt i always say that i would take that into consideration if later on in life i'm stable financially and i have the strength God willing to do it.

Although I was fortunate enough to be blessed with wonderful parents, I would love to adopt a child or two one day, and share the love that has been shown to me.

I adopted my 2 cats. I'd have to say it was a good experience.

ive always wanted to adopt-
my ex was adopted when he was 3 days old & is 21 now and met his birth mom two weekends ago....im so happy for him!

When I was 10, we used to talk about adopting a kid, my age... But it never happened.

Yes. I was raised with my birth parents, but my mother died, and later, my father killed himself. I had nowhere to go, and no living relatives to take me in. I was eventually adopted by a former school teacher of mine. He had no biological children of his own, and was unmarried. He took a chance on me when no one else would. I very much loved and appreciated my stepfather. He died of cancer, and I miss him every day. I can't begin to describe what a positive influence he had on my life.

No i never have or was adopted.
I took in a foster child once and it was very rewarding for me!
