Love is an emotion. Like any other emotion they are transitory. Our problem is that we attach meaning to action. You phone me, you must love me. You forget to phone, you no longer love me. You say hello, you must like me. You forget to say hello and you no longer like me. You buy a gift, you must care. You forget or cannot afford a gift, suddenly you don't care. On and on, we have silly behaviourial cues that are meant to signify love.
Anyone who "needs" love is setting themselves up for disappointment and unhappiness.

There is love everywhere. The love you project for people will be the love you get in return.
When you are a teenager, those things seem so unbalanced. All of you are going through a transition between childhood and adulthood. Teens can have some serious highs and serious lows. Relax and take it one day at a time.
There are several different kinds of love, and the concept of love has evolved over the centuries.
I am attaching a link to Wikipedia that explains this.
From a Christian standpoint, the ultimate Love is in self-sacrifice, which Jesus did for us. If you use the life of Christ as your model, you will find love in the smallest gestures.
However, that is only one way. There is plenty of love in this world, just see beyond the mundane rat race, and the folly of youth.

I can't answer for everyone as to the point of living. People find motivation in different ways... but I agree that love is the most divine source of inspiration.
My definition of love may be different from yours and others.
I feel that love is more than an emotion. Romantic love, while pleasurable, pales in comparison to pure love.
When beings experience the purest form of love they perceive ultimate happiness and luminosity and feel at one with the universal source of all love and light. When we are tuned into this, it is evident and reflected in the eyes of other beings. It is the ultimate experience for human beings and is the source of all that is good.
It can be found anywhere if you seek it.. you just have to learn to tune out your inner dialogue and pain from time to time.
Best wishes Snofake :)

Oh! I can think of many, many reasons to live! Just to see and experience new things, to meet new people.
Besides, as others have pointed out 'romantic' love isn't the only kind. Many people have found the love of their pets to be a very strong reason to stay alive.
Living is fun!

Such an intense question. But it can only be hypothetical. There is and always will be love. Weather its an emotional or material love.
I'm sure you're referring to an emotional love though. There is always someone out there to love or that will love you back. I think the people who believe they've found only one love and suddenly lost it and gives up is a tad narrow minded. With patience and careful decision making I believe that everyone is capable of finding love, many times if it comes to that.
I hope I helped. Take care.

"Finding new love somewhere, somehow, some way..."
At least...
It always works for me. (I'm cursed)
Give it try...
Love, or lack of love sucks either way, sometimes...
Don't kill the horse, and turn it into glue just 'cause it threw you to the ground...!
Rope that sum beach, jump on it's back, and make it love being ridden...only then will you love riding it, once and forever more...
Leave that self-pity party, and take a midnight dip in the ocean of love's madness...
It's out there...
But be forewarned
You may find it...again and again and again...

Well, Snoflake, this question has been asked by millions and will continue being asked, probably "forever" We, as humans, somewhat poor at knowing how to love.
One day, I was determined to watch how forms of love are expressed. I sat in a grocery store...pretending to be waiting for a prescription...and 'people watched'. I saw people holding the door for someone, I saw people smiling, laughing and helping perfect strangers find something they were looking for. One woman had lost her keys and all of these 'strangers' were helping her look for them. One man happily exclaimed, "Here they are!" and handed them to her...great gratitude was expressed! I saw much more, but you get the idea.
Love is in the air...it's all around us. Honestly, the more loving (and forgiving!) you can be, the more love will come into your life!
One very wise woman said, "Love is reflected in love". So true.
Get busy and love everything that comes into your life...plants, animals, people (as much as they will allow)...you will attract great love into your life. That is a promise.

I assume you are speaking of romantic love, but the point of living is that there is always love; maybe just not the kind you are missing right now.

See the Point and Miss the Love. We are Balls of Energy, sometimes we are covered by points and sometimes not. I rather leave the Point to 0.0 and Re-Focus on the four elements.

A loveless life is a pointless life. Living without love, is like living without breathing.
Love is the only thing that can heal the wounds that time has laid upon us.

No doubt love is really important and it's one of the greatest feelings that we have but finding love is not the only purpose we have in life. Try to love all your friends and family with all your heart and feel blessed that you at least have them in your life. Try to leave as much love behind you as possible, that's what really matters:)
