I'm not sure, but the circumference actually shrunk a bit when the Tsunami occurred in 2004 because one ocean plate subducted under another. So the Earth spins a bit faster now, although by an extremely, extremely tiny amount.

Oh...and that was a good one, Lance. ;)

Hi. By wobble do you mean when the Earth tilts 23.5 degrees north of the Equator .Stops then tilts 23.5 degrees south of the Equator. This "wobble" is decreasing very slowly but it will be a long time before it is noticeable. This movement of the Earth gives us the 4 seasons of the year because that is how long it takes for the Earth to tilt from the Equator latitude 0 to the Tropic of Cancer latitude 23.5 degrees north stops, then starts tilting down crossing the Equator again to reach the Tropic of Capricorn lattitude 23.5 degrees south. Then it starts to tilt up again to repeat the process. When the Earth is tilting the Sun appears to change it's position in the sky. When the Earth is midway between the two extremes of it's tilt, theSun is over the Equator. As the Earth begins to tilt up the Sun appears to move lower in the sky until the Sun is directly over the Tropic ofCapricorn.which means it is Winter in the Northern Hemisphere and Summer in the Southern Hemesphere. Then the reverse happens when the Sun is directly over the Tropic of Cancer. When the Sun is over the Equator we have Spring and Autumn.

Cheers.

It's actually decreasing; the wobble is triggered through precession from the gravitational force of the moon. The moon is slowly moving away from Earth, so the wobble effect is decreasing.

Yup. Haven't you noticed the moon's axis has flopped back and forth from vertical to horizontal back to vertical again repeatedly? I mean in relation to the earth's position. Watch the phases if you don't believe me. Of course, it might be the moon who's orbit is faultering. I would need some tools to actually study this properly.

One can deduce conclusively that a wobble is increasing when a planet asks "Does my bum look big in this ?"

Do you mean the nutation? No, it's not. It's the same 19-year cycle that's been there for all of history.
