We've been together for over 8 years and for 95% of the time it has been top notch. Nobody is perfect. Just accept it and value what you have instead of bemoaning the 5% you haven't! You've only got one life and there is a very real chance you could spend the rest of it searching for your perfect match and be miserable 100% of the time never finding it.

yes, but settling for less is not always only a negative thing (sometimes it can turn into a positive thing, really), it depends on what it is. for instance,i refused a job in an office, which i`ve done before and chose to be a mental careworker, a **** pay but i am a lot happier.so that was a good choice.on the other side, i spent one year of my life with a guy who was a totall nutter ( it`s officially confirmed) just because i thought i might never meet anybody nicer and better,that wasn`t a good idea.settling for less in relationship is bad, nobody should do it.so, you really have to judge from a particular situation you find yourself in and be open-minded.silver lining, remember?
