They're Big Business first, cronies second.

There's no patriotism involved in that. Just blind greed.

Well, Im Daniel first, then America and somewhere along Im also Republican. Greed? Well, Im Middle Class, so Im one of the millions of Republicans that arent CEOs or big oil boys-surprise! Posting a question with ignorance. why am I Republican if Im not greedy? Well, I love freedom and free economics. I dont believe in backing down when facing resistance. Im a wrestler, so I step up when to tough gets going, not whine and step down. I also respect life, so I beleive in fighting terrorists who do not respect any life and Im also pro-life. I also think morals do have a place in politics, considering law is based not only on the will of the people, but morals. I agree with Dems on some issues, but not enough to be a Democrat. I also dont post ignorant questions.

I'm forced to vote Republican many times because the opposing Democrat is such a socialist, nanny state, loon that I couldn't sleep at night knowing I voted for them...

Pragmatic Libertarians vote Republican out of a lesser of two evils necessity.

Also, being called a rich greedy fat cat in one breath and a white trash trailer park redneck the next does nothing to endear me to either Liberals or Democrats.

Some of them, as is the case with some Democrats (plenty of rich, greedy ol boys on both sides), but did you watch the GOP debate? I think some appeared to be genuine people wanting to represent the American people, party aside. I thought Romney seemed to care about the family and the people. By the way, I'm generally a Democrat, just being honest.

No, they see themselves as Americans first. Their political views, however warped, are theirs and they have the right to them. Not all Republicans are as you describe. Unfortunately many of the most visible ones are like that and that gives the whole party a bad name. Guilt by association is strong in the political arena. That is why many people didn't vote for Gore in 2000. They somehow thought he was guilty of something as Clinton's VP although common senses said that Al was not involved with the bimbos. This is the same reason the Republicans envoked the name of Ronald Reagan instead of either of the Bushs because they don't want their names connected to what is perceived as really bad.

I think taht describes the Democrats more accurately as they have proven, by putting their hatred of Bush and their desire to keep power and win elections above the welfare of the citizens and troops serving in Iraq. look at what the are currently doing with the funding bill. while our brave soldiers are in harms way, they refuse to submit a legitimate funding bill without attaching deadlines for surrender and pork barrel spending that would result in the largest tax increase in the history of the US. Read a little more and listen a little less to the Libs and the media and understand what is really going on in Washington.

Don't paint everyone with the same brush. both parties are
alike. If you don't believe that, you are very naive. This is
still the greatest country in which to live.Even the poorest
of the poor in AMERICA is richer than in the third world countries!!!

That's a sweeping ascertion really. I mean they say the same about Democrats as well and it's not correct. It's really unfair to categorise a person's loyalty to their country based on their political affinity, in fact it's quite dangerous. That's the type of thing that happens under harsh dictatorships.
