When it comes to a big company like walmart, if you have a viable complaint, and make enough noise, they will refund your money, show your paperwork where it said the battery was replaced, and come with pictures of the battery in your car that clearly shows its an old battery, they will refund your money. If they tell you to F off, ask to see a manager, they will be happy to get you off of their hands, and the higher up the manager is, the more they'll try to just keep you shut up and make you happy.

The concrete floor ruining a battery is a Myth, nothing more. A battery is designed with the plates hanging on a rack above a floor that is about an inch off the bottom of the battery. If the battery has been kept in a cool (cold, but not freezing) and dry place then chances are it shold be fine. Take it to a garage and have them charge the battery and test it, unless it appears to have physical damage or if its leaking. I just read about this in my Battery Modual. I am currently enrolled in SAIT for my automotive apprentice in class time, and jsut covered this.

You may be able to return the battery and get your money back but I don't think you'll be able to get your old battery back. I'm sure it was disposed of already or stacked up with a bunch of other batteries and may have been damaged (no one cares how old batteries are handled since they are going to be recycled). Also, if your old battery was more than three or four years old I wouldn't trust it.

Depends on if they've disposed of your original battery or not. Do you still have it?

If so, test it out a few days and see if the original still works well.
