Spend the time you spent thinking about all the things you would do if you had the time in actually doing them.

Insist that the person you're involved with would clarify their feelings towards you. It's not knowing that's the problem. If they decline, walk away from them and don't look back.

Get all the formal qualifications you can. It's not what you know that matters. It's what other people think you know.

Whatever the economic situation is now, it will be different in ten or twenty years time. Prepare for it.

If you can possibly help it, don't work with people who don't do what they say they will do.

Don't mix business with pleasure.

That time you were unemployed or under-employed and it seemed a big problem at the time, it was actually an opportunity to do stuff you wouldn't have had time to do otherwise. Make the most of it. You won't have the chance again.

If someone suggests cutting corners, don't go along with it. There may be some hassle, but you'll be able to sleep at night.

I'd say: "For cripes sake, get up off your lazy *** and get some exercise. Eat something other than Doritos and Mountain Dew. If you like him so much then just go ahead and kiss him. Good grades aren't gonna mean a whole lot if you're terribly unhappy in the long run. Spend as much time as possible with your friends and loved ones even if they get on your ever lovin' nerves, because someday the option of avoiding them will be taken out of your hands."

Stand up for yourself, girl, and don't worry about your looks coz your still growing. 10 years from now on you'll be a beautiful self-confident and successful woman. And oh by the way, feel free to kick some *** if necessary. Yeah!

Dump him.

Dump him now!

And on May 5th in 2000 when you meet this much younger man who is completely wrong with you . . . shut up and enjoy the ride. It's going to last seven years and then some. And the ride is going to be a good one!

Oh and find a new job now too, while you're at it. (Or if I am still in college, "Don't stop with a BS, go for your MFA!")

Stop listening to your parents. You're not an accountant, you're an artist.
It would have saved me alot of pain and suffering trying to fit into what they wanted me to be. I came around after 3 years but God that felt like an eternity working as an accountant.
And, someone above me said "Buy property". I agree with that one.

DON'T let your parents take you to Alaska!! After you finish your last year of middle school move directly to Vegas. It will save, time, money, and a lot of hardship. Never give up, and don't let them slap you around forever.

absolutely nothing. I believe all we are and everything we do is a direct result of each and every experience we've had in life - good and bad. change one thing and you have changed who you are today. I'm happy to say I'm happy with who I am.

Oh, remember to get Dad to buy more oil stock. Don't date Dan because he's mean. You won't use math with technology ... and 'spell check' gets much better; so don't sweat it.

Even if i told myself what is coming up in the future (which i'd know obviously) i would've never believed me. So, i'd probably say something cryptic like: man, are you in for a ride or are you in for a ride...
