Banners for concerts, any ideas?

Question

I'm going to a concert in Wembley Arena and I want to make a banner but I've never made one...
What are the best/most visible colours? What size should the letters be if I'm in the 8th row from the stage?
Any tip/suggestion will be appreciated

Black background with red letters or white with black letters.
I would go BIG, but it depends on what size poster board you use. OR use this site....

Different colors might not be too visible in an indoor arena, especially with the colored lights that are going to be coming from the stage. You're probably best sticking to black-on-white, or at the very least making the letters dark enough so that the words still stand out in colored light.

ooh, i love banners!
for westlife i had a black sheet of card(i think it was a3 size) and the writing was cut out in illuminos pink paper. yellow on black is good aswell though!
and yes, they seen the banner and waved!!

they say that black and yellow is the most visible combo of colors (don't ask where i got that from, i'm not too sure!:P) but yes, and very clear large letters at least 7". this is at least how me and my friends used to make ours (before we got into the mosh pit!) and they could read it... they read it out loud!!!!:D

Prettyboy: Actually, it's Black & Red. Red being the most visible color of all colors. Good answer though :-)

just remember there are smaller people behind you that might not be able to see when you stick your banner into the air !
