One of my friends said today that he would kill himself just because he was being annoyed by some guy. He's never said this before, but lately had been saying "I can't take this anymore" and stuff like that. I'm not sure what to do, but I don't want to ignore it. Who should I talk to?

when he says this does he sound really serious about it? because if i'm bored or annoyed sometimes i say" i'm gonna shoot myself" but i would never actually do it. if he seems really sucidal, talk to him. i don't know exactly what you should say, but the words will probably come naturally if he is seriously suicidal and if your very worried. hope this helps a bit.

First, always take someone seriously if they say things like that. Second, you should stay in close contact with your friend, as in call him often and stop in and visit him. Third, you should try and get him to talk to a counselor about any issues he is having, let him know a counselor is not someone you see if you have a problem, it is just another person that can look at your situation and give an outside perspective on things other than a friend or family member that knows you. Good luck and I hope the best for him.

RUN do not walk to the nearest school counselor - police station - or your parents. This could be nothing but history has shown that when people express these types of emotions it shouldn't be taken lightly. Examples - Columbine High School, Virginia Tech - the list goes on and on! You will be doing the right thing!

Don't ignore it, it could just be an exaggeration but you never know and better safe then sorry. First I would check does he take any medications? If not I would go to him and ask him if everything is alright and is there anything he would like to confide in you? If he won't go to someone else, whether it is his mother, father, sister, brother, go to someone. Just to make sure. Then just monitor his behaviors like you are doing.

You should talk to a teacher, counselor, any adult you can find that you feel comfortable with. Your friend probably needs to talk about something that has been bothering him. If you wait to long, it may just explode. Please try to get help for your friend. He may not know how to get any for himself so he's letting you and his other Friends know that he needs help.
Good luck with this and I hope everything goes well for your friend.

I'd tell someone close to him so they can confront him about and if he is depressed to seek professional help perhaps CBT (cognitive behaviour therapy). Perhaps if you go to school tell a teacher and they'll know what to do, if your friend is depressed he will need and appreciate the help and concern. Make sure he seeks PROFESSIONAL help.

talk to your friend. comfort him. tell him that hes not alone. try reminding him what he has to live for. and also maybe u should talk to a professional that specializes in this. depending on if he has history of anything like hurting himself. also depends on how bad the situtation really is

well i have friends who have cut them self and inflicted pain on themselves, because of depression and anxiety...but i know they would never kill themself. but in ur situation, i would just randomly ask him what was wrong, if he looked mad or depressed, and act like everything is normal. but if he didnt respond with a real answer (you know what i mean) then id tell him that he seemed mad or sad (which ever one) because trust me. if any one of my friends actually killed themselves. and i nvr talked to them about it. i dont see how i could live myself. so just act like a friend. not their enemy and it should work out. but if it doesnt, you should definetly get help frm a counselor or something. hope i helped.

He needs help. You have to tell someone before he really does do something crazy like kill himself.

Talk to him. find the time to talk to him about all he is feeling. No one should be ignored if they are saying those type of things. Please help him by talking to him and having him talk to an adult or some kind of counselor. Do it now!!!
