I get so extremely sick when I think about what happened to me in the past. When I see the same people from my past, it triggers depression and anxiety. So this has been going on for years. I've been to counselors and psychologist, but it comes back and it is worse than ever. I've tried meditation, running, distract myself with positive things, but the feeling is disabling. Help. I forgive, but so many people are linked to that memory. it's horrifying. Someone please...

i used to think about the negative aspects of my past too, but then i thought: life goes on, i wouldn't be the same person i am today without learning/experiencing from the "bad" times. also, you cannot change the past. there is no point in worrying about something you cannot fix. so move on, get over it, and make sure you don't do the same thing happen to you again. live, laugh, love, and be happy with the things you DO have. forget about the other people. in the words of dr. seuss, "...those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.”

so basically what helped me was changing my outlook/philosphy on life - realizing things

If anyone had to go through what I lived through they would find existing a difficult situation. Here is how I handled it.

When the thought enters my mind, I quickly tell myself: OK. You thought about that. That was bad. That was your negative thought for today. You can't change that so let's move on. Think about one great thing that you can do right now that will make the rest of your life worthwhile.

And I either write a card, or phone someone I love and tell them I was thinking of them and hope they are doing great.

Good luck and think about others more and about yourself less. Think of positive triggers, not negative ones.

And Remember. I love you without even knowing you.

You gotta get on the Expresso. The Pain Train. I know it's easier said than done, but only you can do this. You could keep avoiding this until it comes back to you real bad, or you could speed it up and get rid of it.

So, next time it comes back to you, face it. Think about it really hard, relive it, and cry out loud deep within you for help. You will get it. You don't have to believe in anything or anybody. Concentrate on yourself only. Dig Deep Within Yourself.

The more pain you get when you do this, the better you'll feel later. Do this by yourself and only if you really mean it. You can't pretend here. Do NOT kid yourself.

Good luck!

Honor Your Self. Our mind is our own playground. The toy on Your Playground is You. Allow others on Your Playground if theyr'e good playmates. We are balls of energy that must stop bouncing and come to rest more often than not. I've found that having an Image of myself as a (Nothing) and or a (Nobody) works to remove pain and despair. One must understand one is not innocent and does self abuse. Hocus~Pocus~Re-Focus: Honor Your Self. Blessed One Blesses One. 1~B~4~1

Look instead to the future. Think in the many things that you can still do and concentrate on that.
