Do you think that's possible to talk to dead people?

I saw one of those "infomercials" about someone who claimed to talk to people that lived long ago. It was on tv so maybe it's true.

Fascinating that so many people come out with the same answer "don't expect them to talk back." This is not some deep, mystic sorcery thing, it's as commonplace as tuning a radio - if you wanna talk to people who've been here before, just tune in and talk. They'll talk back if they want to. Again, I say, this is not heresy, it's not spooky or strange, it's not even properly "supernatural". It's just folk talking to folk, in one manner of existence or another.

Talk to maybe, talk with not so likely. Don't believe all of those infomercials. Infomercials are long because they need longer to convince you to buy into their product. A sure sign of a lie is an over lengthy explaination. hope that helps

Yes its possible. Once there was a man who used to take people who were non believers to his place and contact people that they new. The look on their faces was always the same when they spoke to dead friends and relatives. He always believed he was doing good as people got answers they thought they never could and resolved problems they couldn't have done otherwise such as arguments with someone they loved and then died before they got the chance to say sorry.But then he had to stop as the demand for dead people to talk to the living became too much. Just think how many people died over generations and how many people today can talk to them. How do I know this story is true? I was that man

1. It is wrong:
Deuteronomy 18:10-12
"There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices witchcraft, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who casts a spell, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. "For whoever does these things is detestable to the LORD; and because of these detestable things the LORD your God will drive them out before you."

2. Why is it wrong? Because dead people have no part in this world anymore, which means the spirits you are talking to are manifesting evil spirits:
Ecclesiastes 9:5-6
"For the living know they will die; but the dead do not know anything, nor have they any longer a reward, for their memory is forgotten. Indeed their love, their hate and their zeal have already perished, and they will no longer have a share in all that is done under the sun."

I think that 'mediums' have a power, but I don't think they talk to the dead or get messages from them. What happens, I think ,is that the medium has the gift of telepathy and reads the mind of the person getting the reading.Houdini investigated these seances and he found they were all fake. He also said if there was a way of communicating from beyond the grave he would do it when he died. Every year on the anniversary of his death people gathered by a telephone(it may still go on )to see if it would ring and have a message from him . Nothing.

For one moment, i though you were Enya as in Enya the Irish singer. Well yu can always give it a shot. Some people claim that they have a gift to be able to talk to the dead.

Maybe you should speak to a psychic medium about it.

I really dont think that you will get a response but i dont know much about the supernatural world.

I don't know if it is true or not but from what i read after death spirits are alive , so some people can talk to spirits .
Not everybody but people who have special powers to feel spirits presence .
Similar things are mentioned in any religious books including bible .
I find it fascinating and personally think there are people with such powers but also there are liers fabricating stories for money .

All those people who claim to be psychic are just a bunch of scam artists. The Bible says that the dead are asleep until the judgement day. Can you talk to someone who is asleep? Sure, but they don't talk back.

Seriously though I think communicating with the souls of the dead is possible.Stay clear of Ouija boards though.You can't control which spirit you contact and they are not all friendly.

I personally have never sat in my room talking to a passed on person...however there's been times since my great grandmother has passed that I'd be sitting in my room working on an assignment for school and be thinking "ahh I give up!!!" and I could hear my great grandma telling me not to that I need to finish it and get a good mark and make her proud...sorta creepy I know....but it was really comforting and I got an A+ on the assignment!

Also there was a time my painting she did fell down and when I woke up it was back up and no one was in my room...

etc etc etc.
and I'm not crazy. I was just extremely close with my great grandmother.
