Well, yes if the meds do not work for you. Then you will start again.
Every thing nurse said you need to take to heart, Except most doctors and midwives want you to be around 37 weeks. That is full term.
Just have your hubby have things prepared for the other 3 kids. And see if you can rest as much as you can. Hard with 3 other kids in the house. But maybe someone can come in and cook for you and set up some easy dinners so your up very little.
Good luck and rest hun

Not unless you have an incompetent cervix. That is the only way to painlessly dilate enough to have a baby without having contractions. If they have you on pills to stop contractions, you will probably be fine :) Just call your doc right away if you feel the contractions start back up again.

Hi.

It is highly unlikely you are in labor if there are no contractions. Contractions are necessary to dilate your cervix, and to move the baby down the birth canal. These two things are essential to having a baby. So without the contractions to do these things, you won't be any closer to delivering you baby.

Good luck!

Probably not. If you have any 'breakthrough' contractions,
time them - more than 4 in one hour, call your doc! Bleeding more than a teaspoon [ unless you had a cervical exam that day ] call the doc! Leaking fluid that does NOT smell like urine - call the doc!
In a week or so , they will take you off the pills because the baby will be safe to deliver.

If you have been given something to stop contractions, there is no guarantee that it will actually work.

If you are still having contractions or if they have started again, or feel like they have started again, you need to call your doctor. Personally, I would give him a call as soon as possible.

Good luck.

not likely but be careful, put your feet up and hold on, i am the mother to 2 preemies, very difficult, but on a positive note, 34 weeks is the point they say the lungs are ok, so if you go into labor your child will have to stay in hospital awhile but he or she will be fine, good luck and god bless

no. Contractions are what pushes the baby out. If there are no contractions the baby ain't going nowhere.
