If chess becomes an Olympic sport would people push for something like Scrabble in the games?

And as children need to do some phyiscal actived for fitness will some child say well I play chess and that is an Olympic sport?

I very much doubt Chess will become an Olympic Sport and your point about Scrabble is well taken as Bridge would want to be part of the games.

My understanding of why Chess was added as a recognized sport has to do with the fact it's a game of skill and not chance or luck.

At least Table-Tennis played at the elite level involves physical activity. As well as good reflexes and hand/eye coordination.
