What a liberal slant he put on the debate.... How about when he asked the "question".. "Would America be better off if Bill Clinton was back in the White House?" That was not a question.... it was a statement of his political stance.

I say to be fair... during the next political Democratic Party debate... Sean Hannity moderate it.

I thought they were pretty good questions because most of them could be answered within the 60 seconds allotted. Half of the questions didn't even originate with Matthews. They were submitted by viewers through the politico web site. None of the candidates came out looking really bad except perhaps Tommy Thompson and all of them had the chance to express some of their views on both social issues and the war in Iraq.

Mathews is very partisan based on his work as a speechwriter for President Jimmy Carter. He has lived a life as a left-leaning Democrat and loves to toss "hardballs" to Republicans and "softballs" to Democrats. I was not surprised or shocked at any question that he asked.

To make things fair, I would like to see Sean Hannity or Rush Limbaugh get the gig to ask questions of the Democratic candidates on national TV.

And they keep saying that the main stream media is fair.

Yeah, God forbid someone ask people who want to be Leader of the Free World tough questions about their stands on issues. We should elect our President like on "American Idol", whoever looks prettiest and does a good song-and-dance... oops, wait, that's what we do now. Sorry.

What in particular didn't you like about the questions? Why are you so rude? Aren't these questions stupid? Do I think your stupid? Could I answer that question in question form? How so?

Why do you think the questions were stupid? Maybe because he put them on the spot. I only wish he would have moderated the Dem. debate.

because that would have made Mathews look like he actually belonged there asking his questions..this way he looked like he was a lightweight fighter in a heavyweight fight

because they are trying to change their image. you know, the image propagated by bush, cheney, gonzales, et. al. of refusing to answer questions.
